The Ministry of Health and officials of the Regional Health Administration (ARS) The Algarve Huelva held today at the working seminar "Bringing children's voices in the Public Health System in Andalusia and the Algarve", aimed at pursuit of joint strategies to incorporate the participation of children and adolescents in health programs and services.
This initiative, led from the Centre for Health Project and sponsored by the Health Council of Minors of the Ministry of Health, aims to encourage the development of lines of facilitating the inclusion of the voices of children in preventive programs and health promotion, and the adequacy of the design and operation of the health centers and services to the needs of the child population.
Specifically, this seminar is a continuation of joint activities completed between Andalusia and the Algarve on the approach to juvenile obesity to promote healthy lifestyles in this population, raising awareness among professionals, to encourage participation childhood and develop new research projects and innovation that improve opportunities for children to end up acquiring new healthier habits.
In total, 35 professionals with different levels of responsibility in caring for children in both regions will attend the meeting. Among them, managers of health services, pediatricians, nurses, social workers and representatives of organizations dedicated to this group.
